The Stearman Kaydet trained more WWII pilots than any other aircraft — over 8,500 were built, and virtually every American military aviator who flew in the war got their first hours in one. Nicknamed the "Yellow Peril" for its bright training colours and unforgiving handling for beginners, it remained in use well after the war as a crop duster, and examples are still flying today.
Revell's 1/72 kit is moulded in yellow plastic, with a detailed radial engine, movable propeller, two pilot figures, rigging diagram, and waterslide decals for a US Navy scheme. A charming biplane build with some satisfying rigging work.
