Description
RMX4110 - Revell 1/72 Albatros D-III - WWHP113508
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Albatros D.III put German fighter squadrons back on top in early 1917. It married the plywood semi-monocoque fuselage of the D.II to a narrow single spar lower wing copied from the Nieuport, giving the pilot far better downward visibility while a 160 hp Mercedes D.IIIa drove twin synchronised Spandau guns. It equipped most Jastas through the slaughter of Bloody April, was flown by Richthofen, Voss and Udet, and was licence built by Oeffag for the Austro-Hungarian Luftfahrtruppen.
In the box:
- Injection moulded plastic parts, moulded in colour in red, bagged
- Parts breakdown covering fuselage halves, upper and lower wings, tailplane, rudder, spinner and propeller, interplane and cabane struts, undercarriage, wheels and twin machine guns
- Pilot figure included
- Waterslide decal sheet with black German national crosses in several sizes for fuselage, wings and tail
- Folded multilingual instruction sheet with exploded assembly diagram and decal placement
- Top opening rigid box with period Revell artwork
- Paint and cement not included
