The A330 was the twin engine half of a two aircraft programme that shared a wing, fuselage and cockpit with the four engine A340, an approach that let Airbus cover medium and long haul with one design and one type rating. The first A330 flew from Toulouse in November 1992 and entered service the following year, and the type went on to become one of the most widely operated widebodies in the world. This boxing wears the Airbus house scheme carried by the early development aircraft, with the large A330 titles along the fuselage.

New tooling from 1993. At 1/144 the finished model is a substantial 43.7 cm long. Skill level 3.
