The Sea Hurricane was a wartime improvisation that worked, taking the Hawker fighter, adding an arrestor hook and catapult spools, and putting it to sea with the Fleet Air Arm. The IIC carried four 20 mm Hispano cannon, which gave it a genuinely heavy punch for a naval fighter of the period. They flew from escort carriers and CAM ships on the Malta and Arctic convoy runs, where a single Hurricane could break up a shadowing Focke-Wulf Condor and change the fate of a convoy.

Skill level 3. Finished model is 13.4 cm long with a 16.6 cm span.
