Preowned, Resealed, Some parts off sprue, Box worn

The Panzerkampfwagen III was one of the German Army’s standard tanks at the start of the Second World War. It remained in service until the end of the war. In the early war years it was the main battle tank of the Panzer divisions, but heavily armoured Soviet tanks such as the T-34 and KV-1 soon outclassed it. The Ausf. M (Sd.Kfz. 141/1) was built between October 1942 and February 1943. It was the last version of the Panzer III armed with the long 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 gun. It also introduced deep-wading equipment and was fitted with Schürzen armour skirts around the hull and turret to protect against anti-tank rifles. Ausf. M tanks fought at Kursk and on the Eastern Front through 1943. This Revell kit builds a Panzer III Ausf. M in its side skirts and turret skirts, as shown on the box art.
