Revell's 1996 Leopard 2A5, built on the earlier ex-Matchbox Leopard 2A4 tooling with new parts for the KWS upgrade: wedge turret armour, new commander's periscope, and revised hull fittings. Boxart by Enzo Maio; skill level 3. Decals for two Bundeswehr vehicles, including a 1995 Koblenz trials machine and a PzLBtl 93 tank at Munsterlager, 1996.

KWS (Kampfwertsteigerung) was the German combat improvement programme that produced the Leopard 2A5. Stage 2 of the programme added the distinctive arrowhead turret front, spall liners, an all-electric gun drive, and a driver's reversing camera, with the first upgraded vehicles delivered in 1995. This kit appeared the following year, when the A5 was the newest armour in NATO.
