The Willys MB Jeep and the M34 2½-ton cargo truck were two of the most important utility vehicles of the US military in the postwar era. The Jeep — officially the ¼-ton 4×4 truck — served in virtually every theatre and role from reconnaissance to command transport. The M34 was a variant of the M35 "deuce and a half" series, the backbone of US Army logistics from Korea through Vietnam, distinguished by its non-winch front end. Both types remained in widespread service through the 1950s and 1960s and were supplied to numerous NATO allies.
