Washington Irving's 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow introduced one of American literature's most enduring figures: the Headless Horseman, a spectral Hessian soldier said to haunt the village of Tarry Town in search of his lost head. Tim Burton's 1999 film adaptation brought a gothic horror interpretation to the legend, reimagining the Horseman as a visceral, armoured figure on a black war horse. This Polar Lights kit was released in 2000 to coincide with the film, capturing the Horseman in a rearing-horse pose on a themed base.

Notes: Moulded in ABS plastic — standard styrene cement is not recommended for major assemblies; use a solvent-based adhesive (e.g. Ambroid Pro Weld or similar). No decals included. Paint and glue not included.
