Polar Lights' 1/1000 snap kit goes further than most — parts are moulded in the authentic grey used on the original filming miniature, clear parts are included for those who want to add lighting, and the kit can be built in one of three configurations: the 1st Pilot version, the 2nd Pilot version, or the standard production version seen throughout the series. As a bonus, Khan's sleeper ship the S.S. Botany Bay — from the episode "Space Seed" — is also included in the box.
