Description
PEG4009 - Pegasus 1/72 DH4 (Rolls-Royce, Liberty & R.A.F. 3a) - WWHP111629
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Airco DH.4, designed by Geoffrey de Havilland, was one of the finest single-engine day bombers of the First World War, entering service with the RFC and RNAS in 1917. It was built in far greater numbers in the United States with the American Liberty engine, where the "Liberty Plane" soldiered on into the early 1930s, and during its long career flew with many air arms in roles from bombing and reconnaissance to mail carrying and air racing. This is Pegasus's limited-run tooling, offering all three principal engine fits.
Box contents:
- Limited-run injection-moulded polystyrene sprues
- Pewter (white-metal) castings for the smaller detail parts
- Parts for three engine options: Rolls-Royce Eagle, American Liberty, and R.A.F. 3a
- National markings waterslide decal sheet (RFC aircraft A7712)
- Printed assembly instructions
