NTT571-2000 - Nitto 1/100 Boeing 707 Air Force 1 - WWHP113491
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
Air Force One is a call sign, not an aircraft, but for nearly thirty years it usually meant a VC-137C, the military version of the Boeing 707-320B. The first, SAM 26000, arrived at Andrews in October 1962 and carried John F. Kennedy to Dallas, brought his body home, and served as the setting for Lyndon Johnson's swearing in. Its replacement, SAM 27000, took over as the primary presidential aircraft in August 1972 under the name "The Spirit of '76" and is the machine represented here, in the Raymond Loewy blue and white scheme that has defined the presidential aircraft ever since.
- 1/100 scale injection moulded plastic kit from Nitto Kagaku, Japan

- Finished model measures 444 mm span and 466 mm length
