The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the finest fighters of the Second World War, but the first prototype flew in June 1939 with a distinctive feature not carried over to production, a large ducted spinner that gave the nose a bullet shape in an attempt to streamline the big BMW radial engine. This V1 airframe also had the smaller early wing. This is a limited run multimedia kit representing that first prototype in its 1939 form.
