MPM1003 - MPM 1/72 Lavockin La 9/11 - WWHP113500
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The La-9 and La-11 were the last piston-engined fighters from Lavochkin's bureau, following on from the La-7 but far more modern: all-metal structure, laminar flow wing with squared-off tips, and the ASh-82FN of 1,850 hp. The La-9 carried four 23 mm cannon, and the long-range La-11 traded one gun for extra fuel to escort bombers. Both served well into the jet age with the Soviet air force and its allies, and La-11s flew in the skies over Korea and China.
