The Dukes of Hazzard ran on CBS from 1979 to 1985 and made the General Lee one of the most famous cars in television history. Cousins Bo and Luke Duke drove the orange 1969 Dodge Charger through Hazzard County, Georgia, with “01” on the doors and “General Lee” over the roof. They climbed in through the welded-shut doors and sent it flying over creeks and roadblocks, usually just ahead of Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco. The jumps were so hard on the cars that the production went through more than 300 Chargers over the show’s run. MPC first released this kit at the height of the show’s popularity, and this Round 2 reissue brings back the original box art.
