The Cruising Wagon was Ford's factory answer to the late seventies van craze, a Pinto wagon with the rear side glass panelled over, porthole windows cut in, bold tape striping and a front air dam straight off the option sheet. It was shameless and it was brilliant, and it is exactly the kind of period subject MPC does better than anyone.
