The RAF's high speed launches were the air sea rescue arm of Coastal Command, fast wooden-hulled boats stationed around the British coast to pull downed aircrew out of the Channel and North Sea. Armed with light anti-aircraft guns and marked with high visibility identification panels, they often worked within range of enemy aircraft while recovering survivors. This MPC boxing is the classic Airfix tooling, released under the Golden Opportunity banner.
