Northrop's P-61 Black Widow was the first American aircraft designed from the outset as a radar-equipped night fighter. Its twin-boom layout housed a three-man crew, with radar in the nose and a dorsal turret of four .50 calibre machine guns backing up four 20mm cannon in the belly. MPC's Golden Opportunity kit depicts the shark-mouthed "Jukin' Judy," 42-5564, complete with D-Day invasion stripes.
