Description
MPC1-4109 - MPC 1/72 E.E. Lightning - WWHP111380
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The English Electric Lightning was Britain's only indigenously designed and built supersonic interceptor, entering RAF service in 1960 with No. 74 Squadron. Distinguished by its stacked-engine layout and exceptional rate of climb, it remained the UK's primary air defence fighter through the 1960s and into the 1970s. The F.Mk.1A was an early production variant serving with 56, 111, and other squadrons, identifiable by its short fuselage cable duct and provision for an inflight refuelling probe.
