The Sturmgeschuetz IV was a self-propelled assault gun mounting the long-barrelled 7.5cm StuK 40 L/48 on the Panzer IV chassis, produced from late 1943 as a complement to the StuG III during a period of critical armoured vehicle shortages. Weighing approximately 23 tonnes and protected by side Schurzen armour skirts, the StuG IV served in assault gun battalions on all fronts and proved a versatile vehicle in both the direct fire support and anti-tank roles. Monogram's 1/32 scale kit depicts the StuG IV with vinyl track runs, crew figure references, and a single tactical marking option.
