Carroll Shelby turned Ford's new Mustang fastback into the GT350 for 1965, adding a tuned 289 V8, upgraded suspension and brakes, and the signature stripes to create a road-legal SCCA racer. For 1966 the GT350 became a little more civilised and much more popular, gaining rear quarter windows, functional brake-cooling side scoops and a wider choice of colours, with nearly 1,000 more built as "rent-a-racer" GT350H cars for Hertz. Monogram's detailed 1/24 kit captures the classic white car with blue Le Mans stripes, complete with a full engine under an opening hood.
