This kit replicates the #2 STP Lola Indy car fielded by Vince Granatelli Racing in the late 1980s CART/Indy car series, powered by a turbocharged Cosworth DFX V8. The Granatelli name carries deep Indianapolis history, Vince being the son of racing impresario Andy Granatelli, long associated with STP. Monogram released this 1/24 scale kit in 1989, capturing the fluorescent red STP livery and the ground-effects open-wheel chassis of the period.
