The Ford F-1 was the first truck in Ford's newly redesigned F-Series lineup, introduced for 1948 and running through 1952. It replaced the prewar-derived Ford Bonus Built trucks and represented a clean-sheet design with a more cab-forward stance, better visibility, and improved ergonomics — a significant departure from utility-first truck design. The 1950 model carried the 100 HP flathead V-8 as its top engine option, a Ford staple that had powered everything from coupes to hot rods since the 1930s. F-Series trucks of this generation are now firmly established as classics in the street rod and custom truck hobby.
