After two wins and twenty top-five finishes, Alan Kulwicki Racing opened the 1991 season without a sponsor, so Kulwicki ran his #7 Ford Thunderbird carrying his own "AK Racing" logo on the hood. At Atlanta's 1991 Motorcraft 500 he put the unsponsored car on the pole, the first time in twelve years an unsponsored car had won the pole at a major stock car race. This is Monogram's AK Collection issue of that Thunderbird, a Skill 2 kit, limited to 5,000 units and originally packed with a collectable 5x7 Racing Reflections driver photo.
