The 1965 Belvedere I was the plain one, the bottom trim level below the Belvedere II and the Satellite, sold on price to fleets and buyers who wanted nothing they did not need. That is exactly what made it a drag racing favourite, because a two door sedan Belvedere I was the lightest and cheapest way into a B-body, and the engine list ran all the way from a slant six to the 426 Commando V8. Moebius tooled this one to modern standards in 2016 as the stock companion to their 1965 Satellite, with the pillared two door roofline the quarter mile crowd had been asking for.
