Description
MIR900002 - Mirage 1/48 PZL P.11c Additional detail set - WWWEB10113599
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The PZL P.11c was the principal fighter of the Polish Air Force during the German invasion of September 1939. Designed by Zygmunt Puławski, the P.11 was a parasol-wing monoplane that represented the cutting edge of fighter design when it first flew in 1931 — by 1939 it was obsolescent but still formed the backbone of Polish fighter strength. Despite being outclassed by the Bf 109 and Bf 110, Polish pilots flying P.11cs inflicted significant losses on the Luftwaffe during the September Campaign, claiming approximately 126 confirmed kills.
