Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The AC-130 gunship was developed during the Vietnam War. It turned the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport into a heavily armed, side-firing aircraft that could circle a target and lay down precise fire for close air support and interdiction. Starting in 1973, Project Pave Spectre II upgraded the AC-130Es with Allison T56-A-15 turboprops, improved radio, avionics and ECM gear, a 105 mm howitzer and in-flight refuelling. These aircraft were redesignated AC-130H “Spectre.” The AC-130H flew for decades with Air Force Special Operations Command, from Grenada and Panama to the Gulf War, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. Minicraft’s all-new CAD/CAM-tooled kit builds the AC-130H in 1/144 scale.
