The Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma was a German eight-wheeled heavy armoured car developed late in the Second World War for reconnaissance. It carried a 5cm KwK 39/1 gun in a fully enclosed rotating turret, the only vehicle of the Sd.Kfz.234 series to mount an enclosed turret, and was powered by an air-cooled Tatra diesel that gave it good range and cross-country mobility. Pumas served with reconnaissance units on both the Eastern and Western Fronts from 1944.
