The Mercedes-Benz Typ 170V was one of Germany's most widely produced passenger cars of the 1930s and early 1940s, with the four-door saloon being a common civilian and military staff body style. Pressed into Wehrmacht service in large numbers, the 170V served as a light staff and liaison car across all theatres of the war. Its commercial ubiquity made it one of the most familiar German soft-skin vehicles of the period.
