The ZiS-3 76mm divisional gun was the most produced artillery piece of WWII, with over 100,000 built between 1942 and 1945. Lightweight, reliable, and easy to manufacture, it served as both a field gun and an effective anti-tank weapon capable of defeating most German armour at combat ranges until the appearance of the Tiger and Panther. Its combination of firepower and mobility made it the backbone of Soviet divisional artillery from Stalingrad to Berlin.
