Horse-drawn wooden farm carts were a fixture of rural Europe throughout the Second World War, hauling hay, harvests and household goods along village roads. As fronts swept across the countryside, these same carts carried refugees fleeing the fighting and were often requisitioned by armies that still relied heavily on horse-drawn transport. Master Box's 1/35 farmer's cart makes an ideal centrepiece or background detail for Eastern and Western Front dioramas, pairing naturally with figures, horses and armour.
