The Handley Page Victor was the third and last of Britain's V-bomber trio, entering RAF service in 1958 as a high-altitude nuclear strike aircraft. As the threat environment changed through the 1960s, surviving airframes were converted to the tanker role: the K2 variant, produced from 1974, served as the RAF's primary strategic air-to-air refuelling platform through the Falklands conflict and beyond, finally retiring in 1993. All three markings options in this kit depict Victor K2s based at RAF Marham, the type's home throughout its tanker career.
