Description
MATPK-3 - Matchbox 1/72 Boeing P-12E - WWHP111659
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Boeing P-12 was a U.S. Army Air Corps biplane fighter of the late 1920s and early 1930s — the Army counterpart to the Navy's F4B — powered by a Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial. The P-12E was a major production variant featuring a semi-monocoque metal fuselage, and it was among the last of the U.S. biplane pursuit fighters before monoplanes took over. In its bright pre-war squadron colours it remains an iconic "golden age" military aircraft.
This is the Matchbox boxing of the 1/72 Boeing P-12E (PK-3), copyright 1972 (Lesney Products, made in England), molded in two colours in the classic Matchbox style. The kit includes decals for two U.S. Army schemes and can be completed without painting.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts (two-colour moulding)
- Waterslide decal sheet for two versions: 95th Attack Squadron (U.S. Army, Squadron Commander's aircraft) and 27th Pursuit Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group
- Illustrated assembly instructions with full colour plan and simplified mini-paint plan
