Description
MAH028 - Minicraft Hasegawa 1/72 Hawker Siddeley Harrier - WWHP111647
Preowned, Resealed, Mint, Writing on box (See photo)
The Hawker Siddeley Harrier was the world's first operational V/STOL jet fighter, developed from the P.1127/Kestrel and entering RAF service in 1969 as the GR.1. Its vectored-thrust Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine allowed conventional, short, and vertical take-off and landing, freeing it from fixed runways. The type was adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps as the AV-8A, which is the scheme featured on this box art.
This is the Minicraft Models (Torrance, CA) US-market reboxing of Hasegawa's 1/72 Harrier, molded by Hasegawa Seisakusho in Shizuoka, Japan. Decal options cover both USMC and RAF service. A previous owner's inventory number is written in pen on the front box art.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on grey sprue, including clear canopy
- Waterslide decal sheet with markings for USMC VMA-513 "Flying Nightmares," RAF No. 20 Squadron (XV801), and RAF No. 3 Squadron (XV741)
- Assembly instructions
