The Focke-Wulf Fw 58 Weihe was the Luftwaffe's standard twin-engined trainer, designed under Kurt Tank and powered by two 240 hp Argus As 10C engines. The B variant featured a glazed gunnery nose mounting an MG 15, used to train bomber crews in gunnery and bombing alongside its liaison and staff transport duties. The type also served abroad, with Austria's postwar air arm among the operators, as depicted in the box art (aircraft 302 in Austrian markings over the Alps).

This is the companion kit to Karo-As's Fw 58C, a limited-production release from the small West German specialist producer, late 1980s "W.-Germany" boxing. The pair are among the only kits of the Weihe in 1/72. Rear panel includes full B-variant specifications and three-view drawings.
