The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" Competizione was produced in three batches of 15 examples between 1970 and 1973 for private racing teams, never officially entered by the factory. Powered by the Colombo 4.4-litre V12, the Competizione versions featured aluminium/fibreglass bodywork, tuned engines, and stripped interiors. The cars dominated the GTS class at Le Mans from 1972–74, taking consecutive class wins, and were regulars at Daytona and Sebring through the late 1970s. Rebox of Italeri's 365 GTB/4 road car tooling (661), released 1989 with racing specification parts and decals.
