The Douglas B-66 Destroyer was the US Air Force's land-based tactical bomber adaptation of the Navy's A-3 Skywarrior, modified to meet Air Force requirements in the mid-1950s. Heavily reworked from its carrier-based origin, it became a capable light bomber and electronic-warfare platform, with the reconnaissance RB-66 proving the most widely used variant and soldiering on into the late 1970s. Twin J71 turbojets and a high swept wing gave it good performance for its era. This is Italeri's 1986 tooling, with finely engraved panel-line detail.
