The Mikoyan MiG-31 (NATO reporting name "Foxhound") is a Soviet two-seat supersonic all-weather long-range interceptor developed from the MiG-25. The first prototype flew in 1975 and the type entered Soviet PVO air-defence service in 1982. It was the first operational aircraft to carry a phased-array radar, able to detect and engage multiple targets at long range, and its primary armament was the R-33 long-range air-to-air missile. This kit is part of ICM's Famous Planes line.
