The Chevrolet C15A was one of the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) trucks, among Canada’s most important contributions to the Allied war effort. Ford of Canada and General Motors of Canada, the latter building Chevrolets in Oshawa, produced roughly 400,000 CMP trucks for Canada, Britain and the Commonwealth. The C15A was the 15 cwt four-wheel-drive version. Its No. 13 cab, introduced in 1942, had the distinctive forward-sloping windscreen meant to reduce glare that could be spotted from the air. CMP trucks served in every theatre, from North Africa and Italy to Northwest Europe and the Far East. Here it carries the 2C1 all-steel general service body.
- Grey plastic sprues covering the chassis, No. 13 cab, 2C1 steel cargo body, canopy bows and wheels
- Small decal sheet with tactical and bridge classification markings
- Instruction sheet with parts map and paint references for Gunze, Model Master, Humbrol and Vallejo
