The Otter Light Reconnaissance Car was a Canadian-built armoured car produced by General Motors of Canada, based on the Chevrolet C15 Canadian Military Pattern chassis and using standard GM mechanical components. Armament consisted of a hull-mounted Boys anti-tank rifle and a Bren gun in a small open-topped turret. Some 1,761 were built in Oshawa, Ontario between 1942 and 1945, serving with Canadian units in Italy and North West Europe as well as with Polish, Czechoslovak, South African, and RAF Regiment units.
