The Blue Angels flew the McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II from 1969 to 1973, the only time the US Navy flight demonstration squadron used a twin-seat Mach 2 fighter. This Hobby Master Air Power Series release, from 2008, shows the team’s #1 lead aircraft in the classic blue and gold scheme. It was produced as a limited edition of 1,500 and has long been discontinued, so it’s a sought-after piece for Phantom and Blue Angels collectors.
