The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a supersonic delta-wing interceptor developed for the RCAF to intercept Soviet bombers over the high Arctic. First flown in March 1958, it was among the most advanced aircraft of its era before Prime Minister Diefenbaker cancelled the programme on February 20, 1959. All six airframes, jigs, and technical drawings were subsequently destroyed on government order — a decision that remains one of the most debated in Canadian aviation history.

HC1658 is the 1999 rebox of Hobbycraft's original 1987 tooling with an updated decal sheet. The 2003 HC1659 release introduced a revised tooling with cockpit and detail improvements; HC1658 uses the earlier mouldings.
