Description
HOBHC1584 - Hobbycraft 1/48 Vickers-Supermarine Seafire Mk.XV - WWWEB10116095
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Seafire XV was the first naval Spitfire to use the Griffon engine, entering Fleet Air Arm service in May 1945 and remaining in use into the 1950s. Armed with two 20 mm cannon and four .303 machine guns, it had a top speed of around 392 mph and could climb at 5,000 ft/min to 36,000 ft. The Royal Canadian Navy operated two squadrons of Seafire XVs from 1945 to 1949 — a strong Canadian-interest subject. This is Hobbycraft of Canada's 1991 tooling.
Box contents:
- Grey-moulded plastic sprues with recessed panel lines
- Clear sprue (canopy)
- Waterslide decal sheet
- Printed assembly instructions
Marking options: two aircraft — Royal Canadian Navy (PR503) and Royal Navy.
