Description
HASSS1:700 - Hasegawa 1/72 Ki-61-I Hien (Tony) - WWHP111787
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
This kit replicates the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien, Allied reporting name "Tony," the only Japanese fighter of the Second World War powered by a liquid-cooled inline engine (the Ha-40, a license-developed Daimler-Benz DB 601). Adopted in 1943, the Hien served in the Philippines and in home defense, where its high-altitude performance made it useful against B-29 raids over the mainland. This Hasegawa Super Series boxing includes a pre-painted canopy.
Box contents:
- Molded fuselage halves, wings, and tail components
- Three-blade propeller and spinner
- Detailed cockpit and landing gear
- Drop tanks
- Pre-painted canopy
- Waterslide decal sheet (Hinomaru and unit markings)
- Multilingual assembly instructions
- Paints and glue sold separately
