The Grumman F9F-8 Cougar was the swept-wing development of the straight-wing F9F Panther, giving the U.S. Navy a transonic carrier fighter with markedly better high-speed performance and the longest range of any single-engine Navy jet of its day. It served as a fighter, attack aircraft, and trainer through the 1950s and into the 1960s. This is Hasegawa's 1/72 kit (series B23), part of their long-running Scale Series.
