The Convair F-102A Delta Dagger was the first operational delta-wing interceptor and the first supersonic all-weather interceptor to enter United States Air Force service, developed in the 1950s to defend North America against Soviet bombers. It carried its Falcon air-to-air missiles in an internal weapons bay and served with Air Defense Command and Air National Guard units into the 1970s. This kit comes from Hasegawa's 1969 tooling, in the Minicraft-distributed boxing for the North American market, with three USAF marking options.
