The Grumman F9F Panther was the U.S. Navy's first successful carrier-based jet fighter, and one of the Navy's principal aircraft of the Korean War — flying ground-attack and fighter missions where its ruggedness and handling earned it a strong reputation. It later became famous as an early mount of the Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron. This is Hasegawa's 1/72 kit (series D11), a 1980s boxing of their original 1978 F9F-2 tooling.
