Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn, decals useable but need work
The Saab 37 Viggen (“Thunderbolt”) was the backbone of the Swedish Air Force from the 1970s into the 2000s. It was built to defend a neutral Sweden that might have to fight alone. Its canard-delta layout and thrust reverser let it operate from short stretches of ordinary highway as part of Sweden’s dispersed road base system, so it could survive an attack on its main airfields. The prototype first flew on 8 February 1967, and the AJ 37 attack version entered service in 1971, armed with Swedish-designed anti-ship and air-to-ground missiles. About 330 Viggens were built in all, and the type flew in attack, interceptor, reconnaissance and training roles until it was retired in 2005.
