The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 "Würger" was one of the Luftwaffe's premier fighters of the Second World War, and the A-7 was a late variant that introduced heavier 13mm MG 131 cowl machine guns in place of the earlier rifle-calibre weapons, entering production around the start of 1944. This boxing carries markings for Jagdgeschwader 1, the fighter wing honoured with the name "Oesau" after Luftwaffe ace Walter Oesau. It uses Hasegawa's well-regarded Fw 190A tooling.
