Preowned, resealed, mint, some parts off sprue

Kawasaki's original Ki-45 long-range fighter came close to rejection by the Japanese Army, so chief engineer Takeo Doi reworked the design with straight tapered wings, a slimmer fuselage and a redesigned tail, creating an almost entirely new aircraft that was accepted as the Army Type 2 two-seat fighter Toryu, or "Dragon Killer." A total of 1,690 were built, and the Ki-45 Kai Otsu (Model B) was armed for anti-shipping and ground attack with a 20mm cannon in the nose and a hand-loaded 37mm Type 98 cannon in the ventral tunnel, powered by two Mitsubishi Ha-102 engines. Hasegawa released this kit in 1996 as CP102.
