This set pairs two of the German Army's most distinctive light vehicles of the Second World War. The Schwimmwagen was an amphibious four-wheel-drive car based on Volkswagen components, using a folding propeller for water propulsion and steering by its front wheels — a reliable and mobile scout and liaison vehicle. The Kettenkrad (Sd.Kfz.2) was a half-track motorcycle tractor, originally designed for airborne troops for its compact size, widely used to tow light artillery and lay communication wire, particularly on the Eastern Front.
